Pax et Lux
Program Concert
April 6, 2008 at 3:00 PM
Dion Center, Rivier College

Rapport between artists and audience is at the heart of the chamber music experience. Don't miss the chance to get 'up close and personal' with fine musicians, including soprano Diane Cushing (who also conducts the Nashua Symphony Chorus), pianist Ted Cushing, and the NSO Concertmaster Quartet. Diane and the Quartet will collaborate on Samuel Barber's "Dover Beach"; the Quartet will perform Barber's String Quartet, Op. 11 (the second movement of which later became his "Adagio for Strings"); and Diane and Ted will close the afternoon with a selection of songs by American composers Copland, Beach, Bernstein, Thompson, and more.

TICKETS: $10 for the general public and free for anyone presenting a valid Rivier College ID at the door. Donations will be accepted. To reserve your seats, Contact us. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The program is designed to be a prelude event to our "A Lasting Peace" Symphony Chorus concert on April 19.
